School Lunch Kits - providing lunches for hungry North Shore kids...
Each week of school terms we supply 64+ “make at home” lunch kits across 10 schools. The schools or support workers identify whanau where food insecurity is a barrier to school attendance.
The most basic kit yields 17 lunches, accommodating three
children for five days with a little extra. The kits enable a parent or even an older child to make lunches at home. Providing equity of access to education, dignity and buy in, reducing demand for food parcels and improving learning outcomes.
